Dans ce recueil varié, 175 Pièces solistes des  XIVe au XXIe siècles, pour flûte à bec alto d'un niveau intermédiaire.

Les amateurs de flûte à bec trouvent une quantité de pièces à jouer lors des cours de musique ou chez eux.

La sélection ne comporte pas seulement des pièces de compositeurs connus comme Boismortier, Telemann ou Quantz - ce volume à multiples facettes est particulièrement intéressant grâce à des compositions modernes de Barbara Heller et Hans-Martin Linde par exemple, très jouables et en partie écrites spécialement our le recueil.

Le niveau de difficulté des pièces va de relativement facile à moyennement difficile, elles conviennent ainsi à des débutants avancés.

Mais aussi les flûtistes plus expérimentés trouveront leur bonheur dans les choix musicaux de ce recueil de solos qui montre à quel point la flûte à bec alto est un merveilleux instrument.
